Parents should help their children understand money. So you may start talking about money when your child shows an interest in buying things, candy or toys, for example.
Tell them the basic use of money.
Begin explaining the use of money by showing how people buy things. If your child wants to have a toy, give him the money and let him hand the money to the saleswoman. When your child grows a bit older and understands the use of money, you can start explaining more ways of using money.
Give them money lessons.
If you must say no to a child's request to spend money, explain, “You have to make a choice between this and that toy.”
You can show your child how to make choices between different brands(牌子) of a product so that you can save money. If he chooses the cheaper brand, allow him to buy other things with the money saved.
A. Make wise decision.
B. Tell them the value of money.
C. Allow the child to choose between them.
D. Tell your child why he can or cannot have certain things.
E. Ask yourself what things that cost money are most important to you.
F. Talk about how the money bought the thing after you leave the toy store.
G. The best time to teach a child anything about money is when he shows an interest.
Not everyone around is easy to get on well with in your life. I've always tried to keep my1 from people who are rude, aggressive and mean. But sometimes we can't 2 having contact with people who might not have our best interests at heart.
Last summer, I became involved with a(n)3co-worker who was at a bad spot in his life. I had a lot of4 for him and decided to help him5 this tough time, so I tried my best to6 his rudeness when he lost his temper. However, just like a swimmer drowning in a pool, he grabbed on and ended up drowning me when I7 and tried to rescue him. His rudeness gradually was out of8. One night, when I got up to get a glass of water, he started yelling at me to get back into my bedroom. I did as I was told but I was not happy about it. He9 my change in mood and asked what was wrong. But when I told him his behavior toward me was10 and that I was very hurt by the way he had11 me, he was surprised. He could not understand his actions had a bad12 on me. He told me he didn't have anything13 me and that there was no need for me to14 it. I used examples from his life of things that had hurt him and then tried to make the15 that the same things also made me16. I said, “I always treat you with patience, understanding and kindness, but you haven't treated me with17 respect. ” He was silent after listening to my words. What I had said might18 him.
People only change19 they want to change. I didn't know whether he would change his opinion or not in the future, but I would continue to 20 him through my patience, understanding and kindness.

I'd been proud that I'd never lost my cellphone until my husband Jack got a call one evening.
We went to visit a friend in hospital last year. When Jack's1rang, it was my mother calling from my2. She asked if I had3my mobile. I checked my purse. It was4!
I used Jack's phone to call my number. Then a boy, whom I'll call Rhys,5it. "I found your phone!" he said, excitedly. "I have been trying to find you, but6it was getting late, I decided to leave." He gave me the address of a7near his home.
Later that evening, I went to8him there. I didn't dare to go9, worrying this was some cheater. So Jack came along. After1010 km, we got to the coffee shop which Rhys11.
My12were gone. Rhys was just a young boy. "How did you13my mum?" I asked. He14 that when he found my mobile by the roadside, he started calling people in my list of contacts (联系人). But all they15was my mobile phone number — which didn't 16. He'd called many names, starting with the letter A. Finally he got Adam, one of my friends, who17my house.
I was18to get my phone back with all the contacts, messages and photos I could have lost forever. I was so19to Rhys and offered him some money, but he20.
As we drove back, we praised Rhys for his honesty.
We were on the way from Hutchinson to Chicago for a short spring break. For many years I had wanted to take my family on the train. We all went to Chicago four years ago, and the kids loved it. Chicago is one of my favorite cities, too, so the thought struck me again last fall to ride the train to Chicago. Of course, flying would have been faster. But I don't think flying is easier, especially these days, with all the security and waiting in lines at airports.
Though we were tired in the middle of the night, the kids got on the train with the exhilaration of this adventure. "We're moving," my son William shouted happily with big eyes as the train began to pull away from the Hutchinson station.
I removed my shoes and lay down to try to finish my night's sleep. The sleeper car would have better enabled that, but the ordinary train seats were not too bad. An airline flight is a more miserable experience for me:not enough room, two hours of pain with my knees almost touching my chin, the hard seatback in front cracking my kneecaps (膝盖) with every move of the body planted in front of me. On the train I could almost outstretch all of my 6foot2plus body in the generous legroom.
The journey didn't feel at all as long as it was. We all found the train ride a joy. The car ride would have felt every minute of 13 hours. But on the train you are free to walk around, sit in the observation carriage for a while and enjoy the scenery out the windows, have a nice meal in the dining car, read a book, or play a board game.
In short, the train is all about enjoying the trip, which isn't something I do so much when travelling by airline or by car, when the trip seems more of a mission (任务) to get there than an experience to enjoy along the way.
Chicago offers much to do for a family. This time, getting there was half the fun.
A walker seriously injured in a mountaintop lightning strike which killed two others is showing signs of improvement, the police have said. A major rescue operation was performed on Sunday following two strikes which hit the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. Two men died, while two others were taken to hospital.
A police spokeswoman said, “A man in a serious condition in hospital, following simultaneous (同时发生的) incidents in the Brecon Beacons, has now improved and he is recovering. Officers are continuing to get in touch with the next of relatives of the dead men and enquiries are ongoing. All men were believed to be from England.”
Mark Jones, of the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, described the lightning strike as a freak accident, and something he had not been called out to in 30 years of service.
The walking group Ramblers Cymru said that while incidents involving thunder and lightning were rare, electrical storms should be taken seriously by walkers.
The organisation's delivery officer, Elly Hannigan Popp, said, "We'd advise everyone to check the weather forecast before starting a walk. If you hear thunder, see lightning or if your hair stands on end, postpone activities even if the sky looks blue and clear. Lightning will strike as far as 10 miles away from any rainfall. Lightning can strike the same place repeatedly — especially tall, pointed, isolated objects."
"If there is no shelter you should keep moving. And if you become the tallest object, crouch (蹲) in the open twice as far away from the nearest pointed object as it is tall. Make yourself as small as possible, stay on your toes and keep your heels together, as it will allow electricity to go up one foot, through the heels and back into the ground through the other."
