You have visited Boston before. Your friends have to the city. They say there are many interesting places in Boston. Some of them you about these interesting places in it. So you begin to know something Boston, but you don't know where these are or you don't know how to find . However, someone gives you a map of this city and shows you the main roads and buildings, you may say excitedly, "Oh, now I see. I can find many places with trouble at all."
Maps are useful and could help you find your way in a city if you have never been to this city. When you want to go to a new place, you'd take a map with you.
I have a pen pal in Canada. His name is Simon. He lives in Ottawa, Canada. He is twelve years old. He also studies in Grade Two.
Simon lives in a happy family. His father is a policeman and his mother is a bank clerk. Simon and his parents like exercising. They almost exercise every day. Simon's father is tall. He is good at playing basketball. Simon's mother likes playing volleyball.
Simon usually gets up at 6. 30 am. He eats his breakfast at home. Then he goes to school. It's kind of far from the school to his home, so he usually has his lunch at school.
Usually, Simon does his homework four times a week. Simon likes watching TV. He usually watches TV for about one hour every day. He goes to bed at nine.
Can dolphins (海豚) talk? Maybe they can not talk with words, but they can talk with sounds. They show their feelings with sounds. Dolphins travel in a group. We call a group of fish a "school". They do not study, but they travel together. Dolphins are mammals (哺乳动物), not fish, but they swim together like fish in a school. Dolphins talk to the other dolphins in the school. They give information to the others. They talk when they are happy, sad or afraid. They say "welcome" when a dolphin comes back to the school. They talk when they play.
They make some sounds above water. They make many more sounds under water. People cannot hear these sounds because they are very, very high. Scientists make tapes of the sounds and study them. Sometimes people catch dolphins for a large aquarium (水族宫). People can watch dolphins in a show. Dolphins do not like to be away from their school in an aquarium. They are sad and lonely. There are many stories about dolphins. They help people. Sometimes they save somebody's life. Dolphins' meat is good, but people do not like to kill them. They say that dolphins bring good luck. Many people believe this.
