A 63-year-old Chinese carpenter's(木匠的)traditional skills have become famous as he makes woodwork with nothing more than a single piece of wood, without1or nails(钉子). Wang Dewen, known as "Grandpa Amu" on YouTube, has been2as the modern day Lu Ban, a well-known Chinese structural engineer during the Zhou Dynasty, thanks to his amazing knowledge.

Grandpa Amu's most popular video, which shows him making a difficult wooden arch bridge(拱桥), is popular on YouTube,3more than 40 million views. "If you do something, you must love it, and you must 4it; however, being interested doesn't mean there's only5and no pain," Grandpa Amu shared with his fans when talking about his carpentry skill.

His most6works include a simple stool, a model of the China house from the 2010 Shanghai Expo, and an apple-shaped interlocking puzzle, known as a Lu Ban lock. Grandpa Amu follows a(n)7Chinese special technique, which means no nails or glue are used in building the arch bridge.

The master carpenter has also made several8toys for his grandson using the same technique. One of his young9favorites is a walking Peppa Pig. Having over 1. 17 million fans on YouTube, Grandpa Amu's    10so far have gained more than 200 million views.

"You will get sick if you get envious of what you can't have," he said. "Instead, I try to be as positive as I can, thankful for what I have. I try to keep the dignity(尊严)of a hard-working man."
