The movie Parasite tells the story of a family in Seoul who lives in a "banjiha(地下室)", like Mr.Kim's.

The story shows the lives of Seoul's poor people, the urban(都市的)poor, many of whom live in semi-basements in the city.

In Seoul, where housing prices have been rising fast, many students and young couples start out renting a "banjiha", with the hope that enough hard work will eventually make them have their own apartments above.
