A few years ago, my young sons, Sam, Jerry and Alex, joined a bike competition in a town far from our home. As their father was busy, I drove them to the competition.
We were quite new to the town and didn't know anyone there. But soon after arriving, one woman gave me a chair. In the afternoon, we talked happily. Her name was Bev and she was there with her sons Jim and Carl.
Unluckily, in one of the last races, my youngest son, Alex, had an accident (事故). He cried and cried, so I ran to meet him. He badly broke his arm.
Just before I decided to take Alex to hospital, I saw a familiar (熟悉的) face. It was Bev.
Although I hardly still knew her, she could see I was scared by the accident and the worry of having two other children to care in an unfamiliar town.
"You go with him to the hospital," Bev said. "I'll take the other two home with my boys. Here is my phone number. I live not far from the town hospital."
Bev was an angel (天使). I will never forget her kindness in taking two children off my hands so I could give my injured (受伤的) child the best care.
A friendship started that day; and is still growing now.
A young man was walking in the desert, feeling so 1. Just then he suddenly found a spring of delicious and clear water. The water was cool and sweet for a man who had expected it for such a long time. He drank a lot, and then he filled his bottle so that he could bring some back to his village and give it to his 2 who had taught him in middle school.
After a 3 trip, he gave the water to the old man. The old man took a deep drink, smiled warmly and 4 his student for the sweet water. The young man returned to his home 5 a happy heart.
Later, the teacher let 6 student taste the water. He spat it out at once, saying it was terrible. The student said the water had become bad 7 the bottle was too old. He couldn't find the water was 8.
The student asked his teacher, “Master, the water was bad and it was bitter(苦). 9 did you lie to him that you liked it?”
The teacher replied, “You only tasted the water while I tasted the gift. The water which has been put in love and kindness is not simply water.”
10 could be sweeter than love.
There are four great places to have fun in Sunshine Town.
Happy Restaurant | It has the most delicious food. And it plays the most wonderful music. However, the food is the most expensive. And the waiters aren't as friendly as I think. |
Fun Times | Many people like the theater, It has the biggest screens and the most comfortable seats, and the workers always do their best to help you, But the I tickets are more expensive than any other theater. |
Easy Mall | I always go shopping here because it's the closest to my home, People can buy the cheapest things. But there is a bad thing. The assistants here aren't friendly. They always ask you to buy things you don't need at all. |
People's Park | It's the best place to go to on weekends. There are beautiful trees and flowers. The most important thing is that it is free for visitors. However, sometimes it's kind of crowded because of too many people. |
A father and his daughter were flying a kite in the park. When they stopped, the young daughter saw an old man (sell) apples. She asked her father to buy her an apple. Her father didn't bring much money him, but it was enough to buy two apples. So, he bought two apples and gave them to his.
His daughter held one apple in her left hand and the other in the right hand. Then the father (ask) her if she could share one apple with him. When the girl heard this, she (quick) took a bite from one apple. And before father could speak, she took a bite from the second apple quickly, too.
The father was (surprise). He wondered why his daughter did like that. He thought maybe his daughter was too young to understand about (share) and giving. A smile disappeared from his face.
But suddenly his daughter with an in her left hand said, "Dad, please have this one. This one is much (sweet). "The father's smile came back after knowing why his daughter quickly took a bite from each apple.
Don't judge anything too quickly. Always spare some more time to understand things better.
