Then, the family returned to Sweden in 1859, when Alfred began his own study of explosives(炸药) in his lab. He had never been to university but he taught , and by the time he was twenty, he (become) a skillful chemist and excellent linguist, (speak) Swedish, Russian, German, French and English. Early last year, two young brothers in Jiangsu Province 1 badly burned(燃烧) while playing. The "game" they were playing was 2 they had watched in the cartoon Pleasant Goat and the Big Big Wolf (《喜羊羊和灰太狼》).The brothers were 3 two little goats while their friend was playing a bad wolf. Their friend tied them to a tree and set fire to the grass 4 them.
The sad story is an example of how many children follow the violence(暴力) they see on television, especially cartoons. It is 5 that violent(暴力的) cartoons can make children more aggressive(具有攻击性的). In a survey(调查), researchers6 the children after watching non-violent(非暴力的)and violent cartoons. They found that the kids who watched violent cartoons fought with others and 7 school rules more often.
Children under the age of seven are too 8 to understand that the violence on TV can bring 9 real harm(害处). It is parents' job 10 them understand it.

Everyone has his own dream in the heart. Dreams are like stars in the sky. Dreams are special things which only belong to human beings. Hall, a super intelligent (智能)computer in a science fiction movie, who almost has understood all feelings of human beings, always confuses if he has dreams. After an accident, he realizes1a dream is. It's not what you see during your sleep, but something when you are2. At last, he helps save the members of a spaceship and dies for a pretty dream to build a new world. Dreams are so important for a person that we must have one dream3two. 4a dream, we know what we should do something for. Without a dream, we will lose power to5. How to make our dreams come true is a serious problem. Here6my advice.
First, we must make sure we have a practical(实际的) dream. It's7too far for us to reach nor too near to need any hard work.
Second, we need to make plans to8them. A long plan makes us always know the necessary big steps toward the final goal. A short plan helps us keep getting a little step closer to the dream.
Third, we should have a good9. That means we should always be active and never give up whenever we come across problems or even failure. Also, we should never be careless and keep working hard even when we get success.
Dreams are so beautiful and meaningful for all of us that we will be excited10we are just imagining about them. But the most important one is to take action. So let's begin our journey to success right now.
How many times have you told yourself that you can't do something? Well, probably you can do it.
Mary was eleven years old and she had something seriously wrong with her nervous system (神经系统). She was not able to walk. In fact, she could hardly move. Though she believed that she had a good chance to get well again, the doctor said that few people could do it after getting this disease. The little girl didn't give up after she heard this. When she was lying in her hospital bed, she believed that no matter what the doctors said, her going back to school was possible.
She was sent to a health center. Every method was tried but none worked. However, she would not give up. It seemed that nothing could beat her. The doctors all admired her and taught her to imagine that she could make it. Every day Mary would lie there, doing her mental (心理的) exercise carefully.
One day, as she was imagining her legs moving again, it seemed as if a miracle(奇迹) happened, the bed began to move. "Look! what I'm doing! Look! I can do it! I moved!" she cried. At this moment everyone else in the hospital was frightened. They were crying, rushing for safety. And everything was falling. It was an earthquake. But Mary believed that she did it, just as she had never doubted that she would get well. And now only a few years later, she's back in school. You see, to such a person who can shake the earth, such a disease is a small problem, isn't it?
The natural world is colorful with humans, plants and animals showing different colors.
Human skin can be many different colors and it changes with the sun, our feelings or our health. This is because of pigments (色素) which reflect light and make what the eye sees as colors. So when we feel excited or angry, our heart can send more blood to the face and the pigments in the skin become red. This is why we have the expression that someone "sees red" when they are angry.
Plants also have pigments. Color is important for them to live on. The bright colors of flowers catch the attention of insects which then carry their pollen (花粉) from one flower to another. Bees can see colors that we cannot see, and they follow these to the inside of the flower. Without bees visiting flowers in this way, many plants would die out.
Animals also use color for their own need. They protect themselves with different colors in order not to be seen by predators. During summer some wild rabbits are brown, and in winter they are white so that they can hide in the snow so they can't be found or eaten. However, some animals use color as a warning to make predators stay away. Bright colors such as yellow and red are often used in this way. Nature, however, is very clever, and predators also use colors to attract the animals they feed on.
So we can see that there may be many different reasons and uses for colors in the natural world. Some uses of color in nature remain ( 保 持 ) unknown, but one thing is for sure: color not only makes our planet beautiful but it is also necessary for our planet to live on.
