Australia is one of the largest countries in the world. It is 1 smaller than China. It is in the south of the earth. Australia is big, but its population is 2. The population of Australia is nearly as large as that of Shanghai.
Enough laws have been 3 to fight against pollution. The cities in Australia have got little air or water pollution. The sky is blue and the water is 4. You can clearly see fish swimming in the rivers. Plants5very well.
Last month we visited Perth, the biggest city 6 Western Australia, and went to a wild flowers' exhibition(展览 ). There we saw 7 large number of wild flowers we had never seen 8. We had a wonderful time. Perth is9 for its beautiful wild flowers. In spring, every year Perth has the wild flowers' exhibition.10visiting Perth, we 11 a day in the countryside. We sat down and had a rest near a path at the foot of a hill. It was quiet and we enjoyed ourselves. Suddenly we heard bells ringing at the top of the hill. What we saw made us 12all our things and run back to the car as quickly as we could. There were about three hundred sheep 13towards us down the path.
Australia is well-known for its sheep and kangaroos. After a short drive from 14 town, you will find yourself in the 15of white sheep. Sheep, sheep, everywhere are sheep.
Canada is a very large country. It is the second largest country in the world. By contrast it has a very small population. There are only about 29 million people there. Most Canadians are of British or French origin(后裔), and French is an official language of Canada as well as English. About 45% of the people are of British origin, that is, they or their parents or grandparents, etc, come from British. Nearly 30% are of French origin. Most of the French-Canadians live in province of Quebec.
Over the years, people have come to live in Canada from many countries in the world. They are from many countries in the world. They are from most European countries and also from China, besides other Asian countries.
However, Canada was not an empty country when the Europeans began to arrive. Canadian Indians lived along the coast, by the rivers and lakes and in forests. Today, there are only about 350,000 Indians in the whole country, with their own languages. In the far north live the Inuit. There are only 27,000 Canadian-Inuit. Their life is hard in such a difficult climate.
A few years ago, my husband and I were on an island for a long weekend with our two daughters. As we wondered about what to do1, our girls jumped in and told us exactly what they wanted to do."2want to go to the butterfly museum," said Ariela and Eliana.
As soon as we3into the main area of the museum, we saw thousands of4butterflies, all flapping(拍打) their colourful wings.
My girls were5up and down, and I knew we had made the right6to come to the museum. They were having so much fun.
I7to our museum tour guide because I was curious(好奇的), and asked,"8do butterflies live? "She said, "For about ten days." "What can butterflies do9ten days?" I asked. The guide stopped, looked at me and said, "They make the world10more beautiful place." "Wow," I said, "I never thought about butterflies like that. Thank you."
After we said goodbye, I11stop thinking about what the guide had said. She was right. We all have12to offer the world with the time we have.13we focus our gifts on taking care of each other every day, we can make a14.
How thankful it is that you can have the influence on your family, friends and neighbours! Like a butterfly, you have your own way of making the world a little15for everyone.
