Four habits to live a happier life
Having a happier life is something we all always struggle for, and being happy includes so many aspects — mental, physical and spiritual — of our lives. One of the key principles of having a happier life is to always do things that bring us happiness.
Consider the following habits to improve your life and make it as happy as you possibly can.
Praise others.
Be kind to others, like praising them. Don't be afraid to tell people how great they look, or how awesome their smile is. It'll do them good, and do you good too!
Focus on the present moment.
Take some time every day to focus on the present moment. Try not to think about negative past experiences and hug the time you have now. You'll soon find that even the slightest thing that you do at this moment can bring about happiness for many hours and days to come.
Learn to control your emotions.
And it's definitely not worth the emotions. Don't compromise on your happiness just because someone is trying to pick a fight. Just let it go (不要理会) and be happier.
Just before you go to bed, write down at least one wonderful thing that happened. It might be something as small as a child's laugh or something as huge as a million-dollar deal. Whatever it is, be grateful for that day because it will never come again.
A. End each day with thankfulness.
B. Of course, everyone loves to be happy.
C. It is the only certain time we have in our life.
D. It can make people happy and give them confidence.
E. It's not worth the argument when your partner is testing your patience.
F. So it is important to develop the right habits to ensure we live a happier life.
G. Try to set aside a few hours a day, doing something fun to make yourself happy.
GETTING A GRANT
Who pays?
The local education authority (LEA) for the area in which the student is living.
Who can get this money?
Anyone who gets a place on a first degree course, although a student who has already attended a course of advanced further education may not. Students must also have been resident in the UK for at least three years, which can exclude some students from overseas.
SPECIAL CASES
If a student has worked before going to college?
A student who is 26 or more before the course starts and who has worked for at least three years will get extra money—£155 a year since 26, increasing to a maximum of £615 at 29 or more.
If a student is handicapped?
LEAs will give up to £500 to help meet extra expenses—such as buying a tape recorder for a blind student, extra heating or special food.
Banking?
Most of the big banks offer special services to students who open accounts, hoping that they will stay with the bank when they become rich officials. A student won't usually have to pay bank charges as long as the account stays in credit. Some banks allow students to overdraw by £100 or so, and still don't make charges (though they do charge interest).
One morning, I was waiting at the bus stop, worried about (be) late for school. There were many people waiting at the bus stop, some of them looked very anxious and (disappoint). When the bus finally came, we all hurried on board. I got a place next the window, so I had a good view of the sidewalk. A boy on a bike (catch) my attention. He was riding beside the bus and waving his arms. I heard a passenger behind me shouting to the driver, but he refused (stop) until we reached the next stop. Still, the boy kept (ride). He was carrying something over his shoulder and shouting. Finally, when we came to the next stop, the boy ran up to the door of the bus. I heard an excited conversation. Then the driver stood up and asked, " anyone lose a suitcase at the last stop?" A woman on the bus (shout), "Oh dear! It's me." She pushed her way to the driver and took the suitcase thankfully. Everyone on the bus began talking about what the boy had done, and the crowd of strangers (sudden) became friendly to one another.
A good many things in the world cannot be considered and valued .
, where there is a will, there is a way.
People (use) to the idea of (age) in ourselves are so accustomed to this that it makes us (surprise) to find that there may be some animals (observe) that do not age. Sea anemones (海葵) are an example (experiment). (keep) for nearly a century, some of them don't show any signs of lifelessness. Some kinds of sea worms can even "grow backwards". If kept in the dark and (give) nothing to eat, they get steadily smaller. They finally end as a ball of cells (look) rather like the egg from which they came. Under (give) conditions, the ball will turn back to a worm and start growing again. One could probably keep them (grow) and not growing again and again.
As you know, it is not easy your parents so a waste of money is really shameful.
