So he was invited to go to Spain to show his talent.

Students at an elementary school in California, with the help of their art teacher, created a telephone hotline that people can call to get cheerful advice from kids during difficult times. In just days, the hotline began getting thousands of calls an hour.

In English and Spanish, it offers the happy voices of children sharing positive (积极的) messages. For example, by pressing "3", you can hear a group of kindergartners saying together: "You can do it! Keep trying, don't give up!" Pressing "4" shows the sounds of kids giggling and laughing a sound certain to bring a smile to anyone's face.

Jessica Martin, who teaches art at West Side School in Healdsburg, California, thought her students just might have the magic words needed to bring calm to people in these difficult times. "To hear the simple joy from kids is especially comforting (安慰的), " she says.

Students working on the hotline thought of what they would like to say. When they were ready, Ms. Martin recorded each one. Later, she sorted out the recordings into the different parts of the telephone hotline.

Pressing "1" brings up ideas for people who are "feeling mad, awful or nervous". Helpful suggestions include: "Listen to some light music", "do some sports", or" go get a cookie".

Pressing"2" results in" words of encouragement and life advice". This includes messages like: "The world is a better place with you in it." And "You are okay!"

An old man was sitting on a train with his 25-year-old son. As the train started, the young man became very excited.

He was seated by the window. He stuck out one hand to feel the passing air. He shouted, "Dad! Look! All the trees are going behind! "The old man smiled and felt glad at his son's behaviour.

There was a couple who were seated beside the young man. They were just sitting and listening to the conversation between the father and the son. Suddenly the young man shouted again, "Dad! Look at the sky! Clouds are moving with the train! "

The couple watched the young man. They thought it was rather stupid that the 25-year-old man was behaving like a small child.

Now it started raining and some water drops touched the young man's hand. He was even more excited and he closed his eyes. He shouted again, "Dad! It's raining! Water is touching me! Dad! Look! "

The couple couldn't stand it any longer and asked the old man, "Why don't you take your son to a doctor? "

The old man said, "Yes, we were just coming from the hospital. It is the first time in his life that he can see with his eyes. "
