I've dreamed of becoming a writer since I was a teenager. But isn't easy to get a book of mine published. I've tried hard, none of my books have been published. This is really (upset).
This morning, I received a call from a publisher and (tell) once again that there was no way my book would be published. (feel) sad, I left home and went to the park near my apartment. At the park, I sat down on the bench near the grass.
While I was sitting there, I saw a little boy about one and a half years old. He was running on the grass, his mother not far behind him. He looked so happy when he enjoyed the (free) of running on the grass. He then fell on the grass, but he quickly got up and continued (run) as fast as he could again even without looking back at his mother. He was still running with a smile on his face, as if nothing (happen).
Seeing that, I was truly inspired. I (sudden) realized that I shouldn't get discouraged after experiencing failure. Instead, I should cheer up and keep on trying.

(catch) by surprise, the other passengers all shouted in panic. The steward managed to get in touch with the control center on the ground. With the order from the ground, the plane (success) landed at the nearest airport. As soon as the plane was on the ground, all the passengers got off. Then seven specialists got on the plane (kill) the mice. Many means had been tried but of them were good enough.
At last, they tried to fill in the plane carbon-dioxide, which poisoned all the mice. It (report) that the young man wanted to carry the mice to another city and sell them as (pet), but he didn't expect they succeeded in escaping from the bag.
Until recently daydreaming was viewed as a waste of time or it (consider) an unhealthy escape from real life and its duties. But now some people are taking a fresh look at daydreaming. Some think it may be a very (health) thing to do.Some researchers are finding that daydreaming may be important to mental health.Daydreaming, they tell us, a good means of relaxation. But its benefits go this.A number of psychologists have conducted experiments and have reached some (surprise) conclusion.

For these notable achievers, it appears that their daydreams came .Dr Harry Emerson Fosdick offered this advice: “Hold a picture of yourself…in your mind's eye, and you will be drawn toward it.Picture yourself (vivid) as defeated and that alone will make victory impossible.
My husband and I were paying a visit my parents in Tucson. We went to a fast-food restaurant for dinner together. My husband went to the counter (order) dishes and I stood with my parents.
My dad is 90 years old. He can hardly see very well and walks with a stick. I was scanning the restaurant, (wait) to sit at the first table that was (convenient) than others. A woman who was sitting with her son made eye contact with me and asked me to come to her. With a (puzzle) look on my face, I pointed to myself and said , “Me ?” She (nod) and said, “Yes, you.” I walked to the table and she said, “Bring your family here. I can finish eating at the counter. My son is in hurry to leave anyway.” My eyes (fill) with tears as she wiped down the table and guided my dad to the seat.
I always believe that there are (nature) kind people in this world. This woman has set a good example to her son, is a really lucky guy.

In the same way that people communicate with spoken language, they also express their feelings using “language” through physical distance, actions or posture. However, people from places like Spain, Italy or South American countries others closely and are more to touch them.
China's Tea Villages
In most Chinese tea villages, March is the time of year in locals start to pick and process tea. The usually quiet villages suddenly become busy centers of activity, as people take out special tools and prepare tea processing. In some villages, local residents hold traditional ceremonies, (thank) heaven for its blessing. The price of tea (pick) in March is extremely high because is fresh, tender and contains multiple trace elements.
China (be) famous for tea production since ancient times. Of the goods transported and traded along Old Silk Road linking China to the Middle East and Europe, the importance of tea was matched only by silk. Some time ago, a light passenger plane flew course(航线) and thus crashed in the mountains and the pilot (kill). The only passengers, a young woman and her two baby daughters, were unhurt. When it grew dark, she turned the suit-case into a bed, where the children, (cover) with all the clothes she could find, could be protected from the wind. During the night, it got (terrible) cold. The woman kept as near as she could to the children and even tried to get into the case herself, but it was too small. Early next morning, she heard planes (fly) overhead and wondered how she could send a signal. Then she had an idea. She wrote the letters SOS in the snow. Luckily, a pilot saw signal and sent a message by radio to the nearest town. It was not long a helicopter arrived on the scene to save the (survive) of the plane crash.
Recently I have found many of us students spend too much time sending text messages or (play) games on cell phones, which has negative effects on our students and also does them to our eyes. Worse still, it is waste of time. We have little time to communicate our parents and friends. do we have time for physical exercise.
What shall we do (improve) the situation? All of us should be (full) aware of the harmful effects of frequent use of cell phones. To begin with, let's limit our time (spend) on cell phones and start other hobbies. And we should spend more time playing sports, which is (benefit) to us. besides, talking with friends is also a good choice to help us relax and get rid of the (addict). I hope that my suggestions will be of help to you.
Let's put down our cell phones and focus on is happening around us!
My feelings about science have (complete) changed. More than one science teachers at my new school excellent and (friend) . The science (facility) are very good with laboratories that have all the (late) equipment. Our chemistry teacher takes us to public science lectures about four times term, are always interesting, because the lecturers are famous at their area of science. In the last 20 years, seven Canadian scientists (win) the Nobel Prize. Now I'm becoming more and more interested in is physics and I want to study it at university. Theme Parks
Parks provide people a place to amuse for a while. In recent decades, , many parks have been designed to provide (entertain). We call them theme parks. Then new parks are usually huge places and have a of things to see and do. Theme Parks have a certain theme—that the whole parks are based . The (old) theme park in the world is Disneyland. It seemed like a magical world which can make your dream come true. But if you are interested in traditional culture and history, go to Dollywood, you can have fun (learn) all about America's historical southeastern culture, then you can go to Camelot Park, world of fantasy about ancient England.
We may be very (please ) with the rapid progress we have made in every field of study , but we have almost done nothing ( improve ) our present examination systems which focus testing the students' memory instead of their ability . As soon as a child begins school , he enters a world of examination will decide his future of job . In fact , a good examination system should encourage students to think for ( they ) . But the examination system now forces the students to remember is taught to get high marks . Thus the students who come out first in the examination are often the ( good ) in memorizing . What's worse , such an examination system often ( drive ) teachers to cram all the time and forces them to train students what to do with the ( ( come ) examination .
There must be better way to test a student's true ability as well as their knowledge .
Today I went to a conference, two students had a debate about the strengths and weaknesses of the Internet.
The first speaker talked about the positive (effect) of the Internet on our lives. The first is its value for people who (look) for information. For example, with the touch of a button the click of a mouse, a student will find abundant information at his or her command. The second is our ability (relate) to others through the Internet and it is especially important for disabled people can't leave their homes.
The (two) speaker talked about the negative effects of the Internet on our lives. For example, some experts think that the outcome of spending too much time on the Internet ii difficulty in (form) social bonds. They were also quite explicit about how heavy Internet users spend (much) time with their Internet friends than their real-life friends from school and work.
Both sides presented lots of statistics to support their arguments. My own judgment is that though the Internet is. (benefit), we should use our intelligence and not be a slave to it!

The popularity of the igloo is beyond doubt:it is now attracting tourists from all over the world. At least 800 people have stayed at the igloo this season even there are only 10 rooms.
I was on my way home with a friend yesterday I found a mobile phone by the roadside. After picking it up, I suggested that we go to the house in front of which we found the mobile phone. And we did so. I (knock) at the door and two young men answered. Neither of them had lost (they) phones, but as I referred to some names on the contact list(通讯录), one of them said he also had those (name) and that it must be the phone of onetheir friends. Then, he took the phone and said how wonderful it was that I took the time(find) the owner. Afterwards, I left without (leave) my name or address. I never considered keeping the phone. Instead, I immediately tried to find owner. And I believed that was (exact) what I would want someone to do if I lost my phone. It couldn't have been (good).
Sometimes, helping others is just doing the right thing.
Many teachers believe that hands-on experience is the (good) way to learn. A group of students in the United States are putting that belief to the test. They (success) designed and built a robot for discovering unexplored mines the bottom of the sea. Students made the robot (answer) a challenge from the U.S. Department of Defense.
The students recently tested the underwater vehicle (call) PerseusⅡin a 95-meter-long tank of water at the Stevens Institute of Technology.
The robot costs about $15,000 to build. The students use a video game control to direct (it) movements in the tank. What's more, devices known as Japters (able) the robot to go up, down and toward its target in the water. Video cameras on the robot send images back to a computer through a 13-meter-long cable. Perseus Ⅱ,the students worked up to 20 hours a week to design and build, also has set of lasers (激光), which are used to measure the size of an object.
DeLorme supervised the project from (begin) to end. He says the specialized requirements of robots were demanding.

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard my name calling. I was chosen to play the leading role in Cinderella, that was my dream. As a shy and thin girl, I used to be quite afraid of speaking in the public. But my parents and teachers always encourage me to do so. Now I have changed great. In class, I am often the first one to stand back and answer questions even if I may make some mistakes. No pains, no gains. Now I am always brave enough overcome the difficulty in my heart and have changed in a lively girl. So my experience shows that we should not be afraid of losing face but only in this way can we make progresses.
