Have you ever dreamed of having a fashionable watch of great value?
A small watchmaker in Switzerland in 1922 designed the first automatic watch to show the day, month, and date. Only seven of these splendid watches were ever made and these watches were almost lost to history. Today, it is so hard to get an original watch that some watch historians are even willing to offer $200, 000 for one.
These watches attracted a lot of people for their splendid color, fashionable style, and new uses in the 1920s. The owners of the watches were admired and set apart from the crowd. Because the number of the original watches is very limited, owning such a watch will make you feel very special.
Today, you are offered the same kind of watch with improvement. It has a 24-jewel mechanical movement, the kind desired by watch collectors. The watchmaker has made the movement of the watch much more modern with an automatic rotor so that the watch never needs to be wound by hand. The watch comes in a very beautiful case with a crocodile design on it. To get a watch in such a perfect design means to get a chance to know a piece of watch-making history and to wear such a watch will show your personal taste and social position.
You can get the watch either in person or by mail at an affordable price. You will also receive good service from the watch seller. If you are not satisfied with the watch after you get it, you may simply return it within 30 days. Don't miss the chance to realize your dream.

The baggy yellow shirt had long sleeves and four extra-large pockets. It was faded (褪色) from years of wear, but still in good shape. I found it in 1963 when I was home from college on Christmas break, looking through bags of clothes Mom planned to give away. Seeing me packing the yellow shirt, Mom said, “I wore that when I was pregnant (怀孕) with your brother in 1954!”
“It’s just the thing to wear over my clothes during art class, Mom. Thanks!” Then I put it into my suitcase. The yellow shirt became a part of my college wardrobe (衣橱). I loved it. After graduation, I wore the shirt the day I moved into my new apartment and on Saturday mornings when I cleaned.
The next year, I married. When I became pregnant, I wore the yellow shirt. I missed Mom and the rest of my family, since we were in Colorado and they were in Illinois. But that shirt helped. I smiled, remembering that Mother had worn it. That Christmas, I repaired one sleeve, packed it in holiday paper and sent it to Mom. When Mom wrote to thank me for her real gifts, she said the yellow shirt was lovely.
The next year, my husband, daughter and I stopped at Mom and Dad’s to pick up some furniture. Days later, at the kitchen table, I noticed something yellow tied to its bottom. The shirt! And so the pattern was set. On our next visit home, I secretly placed the shirt under Mom and Dad’s mattress (床垫). I don’t know how long it took for her to find it, but almost two years passed before I discovered it under the base of our living-room floor lamp. The yellow shirt was just what I needed now while refinishing (重新整修) furniture.
【1】After college graduation, the writer used to wear the shirt when ______.
A.she had art classes B.she cleaned the new apartment
C.she searched her wardrobe D.she played with her brother
【2】When the writer was in Colorado, ______.
A.the shirt was too old to wear B.the writer stayed with her mother
C.the shirt comforted her in feelings D.the writer finished her college education
【3】What did the writer mean by saying “the pattern was set” in Paragraph 5?
A.The shirt was cleaned and well hidden. B.The shirt was often hidden and found.
C.The shirt was kept by the writer’s mom. D.The shirt was found before refinishing furniture.
【4】What would be the best title for the text?
A.My Mother’s Big Secret B.My Lovely Yellow Shirt
C.My Favorite Clothes at College D.My Family’s Yellow Shirt

You probably know that exercise is the key to reducing depression, but you might not know why. Here are some tips for exercising when you’re depressed.
Change your view of “exercise”.
Forget “exercise”. Instead, think “being active” or “having fun”. 【1】 Besides, it gives you a bigger benefit.
【2】
Taking part in physical activities with others supports you in doing those activities. Ask friends what activities they’re doing or they would like to start doing, and join them. Other choices include hiring a personal trainer, joining an exercise group or going to a class.
Try an experiment.
【3】 Or go to the gym every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Even if you’re feeling too tired to do any actual exercise, still go to the gym, park your car, walk in, chage into workout clothes, and pick up a 5-pound weight. If you’re really so tired that you don’t want to do anything else, that’s totally fine.
Take it outside.
Nature has a great effect on our feeling and decreases depressive symptoms. Even just looking at images of lakes and trees helps. 【4】 Or walk on a treadmill (跑步机) by a window.
Tie it to a goal.
Korb said, “When you connect your exercise to a long-term goal, it helps your brain forget momentary discomfort and makes your exercise more satisfying.” For example, Korb started getting active because it made playing sports more enjoyable. Figure out what’s truly important to you. 【5】

At Dana’s yard sale, Tim chose a baseball from the toys spread on the card table and asked about the price. Dana told him everything was a quarter except Nezumi, a cotton toy rat. It was grey with some cotton sticking out from the hole where an ear had been torn off.
“Nezumi is extra special, so he is ten dollars. He needs a safe new home.” Dana sighed. Tim laughed saying he didn’t have ten dollars. Dana laughed too and gave Nezumi to Tim as a free gift because he was her friend. When Tim whispered it was sort of old, Dana said old toys were the best. She then invited Tim to her birthday party the next evening, adding that her parents were giving her a real rat for her birthday. Tim was amazed and asked if it was a live rat.
“Of course.” Dana said.
At home, Tim’s mother showed him the gift she had bought for Dana. It was a knitting spool(针织线轴) shaped like a mushroom. Mom said Dana could knit a scarf for her doll. Tim sighed that Dana wasn’t a knitting kind of person but a rat kind of person. Mom laughed after knowing what had happened. Together they drove to the pet store, where Tim searched and searched and selected a clear plastic ball, one in which the rat could run around on the floor safe from cats and dogs. Tim thought of Nezumi’s ear and decided Dana’s new rat would need this ball.
The next day, Dana brought cupcakes to class. When she handed a cupcake to Tim, she asked if Tim brought Nezumi to school as Nezumi liked to ride in backpacks. Tim was at a loss because Nezumi was at home on his bed. Then Dana asked what gift he was giving her. Tim replied it was a surprise. In silence they sat for a while before he heard Dana say her parents were giving her a new bike for her birthday instead of a live rat because they thought rats would bite things.
