China's first homemade science fiction(sci-fi)blockbuster(大片), The Wandering Earth, has amazed space scientists and engineers as the country is making efforts to make breakthroughs in space exploration.
The film, adapted from Liu Cixin's novel of the same name tells a story about how humans, threatened by a dying and swelling sun, set up huge engines to push the planet out of the solar system, setting it on a journey lasting 25 centuries in search of a new sun.In the film,a Chinese astronaut working in an international space station joins hands with his son to save the Earth from a collision with Jupiter.

The world's oceans make life possible on this planet. They help regulate the global climate, absorb carbon dioxide and provide food and livelihood for billions of people.
But even though they cover more than 70% of the Earth's surface, our oceans are being ruined by lots of plastics, overfishing and increasing temperatures brought about by climate change and if there is one message this year's World,'s Oceans Summit tries to send it's that something must be done now to protect them.
The news that we have had from our scientists is that we are marching into a very hazardous situation. It's pretty obvious what is required is not just short-term change sometimes soon -these advocates are calling for complete change now.
But we have still got time over the next 10 years to lower our greenhouse gas emission(排放) to a level at which we will not reach that 2 degree warming stage. As you would know, once we get to 2 degrees, we lose all coral reefs in the world, for example. We're now training towards 3 degrees.
The biggest declaration to come out of the summit is the Blue Prosperity Coalition, which has the ambitious goal to ban 30% of the world,s ocean fishing by 2030.We've over-fished the oceans, and we have five to ten years to really reverse the trends as before or it's going to be too late.
We rely on the oceans for so many things, livelihoods, the food we eat and the air we breathe The oceans absorb a ton of carbon and if we don't fix the oceans now, it's going to be too late.
The coalition needs a lot more support from world governments and coalition members say with smart management they can achieve their goals while keeping fishing production without causing much economic hardship.

B. We will not reach 3 degree warming stage.
C. Great economic hardship will be unavoidable.
D. A joint effort is needed by the world governments.
【4】What's the author's purpose in writing the text?
A. To emphasize the importance of the oceans.
B. To call for complete change to protect the oceans.
C. To show the alarming pollution of the oceans.
D. To talk about the bad effects of climate change.

Within many workers' lifetimes, jobs will be completely changed by automation(自动化).A recent employment report from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD), a union consisting of 36 countries across the world, said that within the next two decades half of all jobs will be greatly transformed by technology.
In some cases, that will mean workers losing their jobs completely-the OECD estimates 14 percent of jobs will be completely automated in the next two decades, while others, 32 percent of jobs, will be greatly different from what they look like now.
Whether jobs are transformed or lost completely to the advance of technology, the OECD says one question rises above all others: are we ready? The OECD Employment Outlook does not predict a jobless future. But it does foresee major challenges for the future of work, said the OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria, in a statement.
While many jobs will be changed or disappear, the OECD says that the change won't necessarily mean fewer jobs for workers.New and skilled jobs also come with new and improved technology.Automation may even create jobs in the short term, say some analysts. The problem is ensuring that current workers are equipped to transition into those jobs now and in the future.
To ensure that workers replaced by robots and other technology can get into a new career, the OECD says that a strong adult training program is necessary. That may involve not only training older workers but also removing the financial burdens of their efforts through subsidies(补贴).
Even with a rapidly changing economy and the development of technology, all we need is a plan."With the right policies, we can manage these challenges. We face significant transformation, but we have the opportunity and the determination to use this moment and build a future of work that benefits everyone, "said Gurria.
【1】What is the OECD concerned most?
A. If jobs are lost. B. If jobs are changed.
C. If people are prepared. D. If enough jobs are offered.
【2】What's the most probable result of automation?
A. Fewer jobs. B. A jobless future.
C. More skilled workers. D. Transformation of most jobs.
【3】Which is NOT suggested to deal with automation?
A. More new jobs. B. Right policies.
C. Training programs. D. Reduced financial burdens.
【4】What's Gurria's attitude towards automation?
A. Positive. B. Negative.
C. Doubtful. D. Worried
