In their Sunday magazine, The New York Times recently put out an interesting nature article: Why Do We Feed Wild Animals? It seems that quite a few people do. Between 20 and maybe as high as 35 percent of families in Australia, Europe and the United States feed birds in their apartments, according to author Helen MacDonald.
