That question made me 14 the difference between wanting something right now and having a long-term goal. Homework has become a hot topic among students. Should primary school students do homework after school? Share your opinions below.

I don't think it's necessary for primary school students to do homework after school, because they are still very young. Many of them stay up late in order to finish their homework. This is quite unhealthy and will make students lose interest in school.

Doing homework is part of every student's daily life. It can help students get into good learning habits. Besides, it can also help students check what they've learned in class during the day. From my point of view, primary school students should do homework after school.

Homework is quite important to primary school students. It is good for their future studies. Finishing homework after school is important for them to get good learning results. Teachers should give students a proper amount of homework so that they can finish in one hour.

In my opinion, students in lower grades don't need to do homework after school. Too much homework takes up too much of their free time. Students at these ages should develop hobbies like dancing, painting and playing basketball. Life is boring without hobbies.

At 00:23 Beijing Time on October 16th, 2021 China's spacecraft Shenzhou-13 launched into space. Three astronauts began China's longest mission ever at space station module. Do you know what an astronaut's day is like? Now please follow us and see.

    ▲

Every morning you get up, wash your face, brush your teeth, eat breakfast and get ready for your day. These daily actions are so common that you don't think about them much. But what if you were in space?

The most important thing to remember about living in space is that there is no gravity, so weights are not as heavy as they are on the earth. When you drop something, it doesn't fall to the floor. It floats (飘浮) slowly away in the air. And how do astronauts drink? In space, water just breaks into small drops and hangs in the air.

Well, astronauts eat and drink differently in space. They have special dishes so that their food doesn't float away. They use special bags for drinks so that the drink stays inside.

Sleep is also different in space. Astronauts tie themselves to the wall so that they don't float around when they are sleeping. Since they have to work hard, they need to get plenty of rest. The sun rises and sets so often that it's hard to tell the time. The astronauts have clocks and sometimes music to wake them up.

Exercise is important for astronauts as well. Since astronauts float instead of walking or running, their muscles (肌肉) become weak very quickly. They have to exercise on special machines every day so that this doesn't happen. No one wants to become ill in space and exercise helps them stay healthy.

However, it is not all hard work in space. When they are not doing science experiments, writing reports or exercising, there is a little time for fun. They watch movies, read the news and call family members and friends. The astronauts on the International Space Station can even connect to the Internet.

One Saturday afternoon, Amy found her sisters Meg and Jo getting well dressed. They were going to the theater with their friend Laurie. Amy wanted to go, too.

"I can't take you, dear, because you aren't invited," began Meg, but Jo cut in impatiently. "You can't go, Amy. Laurie invited only Meg and me. "

Amy cried," You'll be sorry for this, Jo. "

While Jo and Meg were at the theater, Amy burned up Jo's book of writings. Jo's loving work of several years was gone in the fire.

That night, Mother asked Jo to forgive (原谅) her sister, but Jo refused.

The next day, Jo went to the river with Laurie to skate on the ice. Amy followed them. Jo saw her coming but turned away. Laurie was carefully skating and didn't see Amy. He warned Jo to stay away from the middle of the river. The ice there was thin. Jo heard him, but Amy did not. Jo realized that Amy probably hadn't heard, but she said nothing. "Let Amy look after herself," Jo thought.

Something turned Jo round. She happened to see Amy throw up her hands and go down. The ice broke. Jo tried to call Laurie, but her voice was gone, and for a second she could only stand there. Suddenly, Laurie skated past her and shouted," Bring a rail (横杆), Jo. Quick, quick!" Jo fetched some wood and pulled it across the ice. Together they got Amy out.

When Mother had put Amy to bed, Jo asked," Are you sure she is alive?"

"Quite safe, dear," replied her mother.

"Mother, I get angry so easily. Today, without Laurie, it might have been too late. Oh. Mother, what shall I do?"

I get angry nearly every day of my life," said Mrs, March. "But I've learned to regulate it. I've learned to stop myself saying the angry words, and you must try to do the same, my dear. "

Jo looked at Amy in her bed and gave her a big kiss. Amy opened her eyes and held out her arms. They held each other close.

Beyond Meat, a US plant-based meat producer, has said it will build a factory in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. This will be China's first plant-based meat factory built by a foreign company. Plant-based meat is getting more popular around the world. Made out of plants, it's designed to look, taste, and cook like real meat. It's usually made out of plant protein (蛋白质),such as beans and peas.

Companies are producing this product mainly to protect the environment, as the meat industry produces too many greenhouse gases. According to the Worldwatch Institute, 51 percent of man-made greenhouse gases are from the livestock industry (畜牧业).

Although this new trend sounds attractive, it seems that plant-based meat still has a long way to go in China.

"Chinese people prefer fresh and natural food. You can never get the real taste of red braised pork with plant-based meat," said one netizen. It seems not easy for Chinese people to forget the taste of the real meat.

Some also wonder if plant-based food is safe and healthy, since it's man-made rather than naturally grown. The high price also holds many people back. It's equal to or more expensive than real meat.

Winning the heart of Chinese is not easy because the food culture and customers' preferences are very different and the market is sensitive to price. But some companies, are working hard to win the Chinese market. For example, since many Chinese people enjoy eating bone-in meat, some companies are developing plant-based meat with bones. Others are making products that can be boiled for a long time in hotpot or soup, which are also more attractive to Chinese consumers. Maybe you could see the dish on your dinner table soon.

  1. (1) The plant-based meat is _____________.
A . real meat from the livestock B . new "meat" made out of plants C . a kind of fresh and natural food D . naturally grown food with a low price
  2. (2) According to the passage, what do companies produce plant-based meat for?
A . To make more money. B . To have more dishes. C . To protect the environment. D . To develop livestock industry.
  3. (3) Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage?
    A . B . C . D .
  4. (4) The purpose of the passage is mainly to ___________.
A . introduce a new kind of "meat" B . show the future of Chinese market C . encourage people to buy the plant-based meat D . ask more companies to produce the new "meat"

Do you like traveling? Do you want to be smart travelers? There are some tips for buying tickets that travelers need to know.

Booking both the flights and hotels at the same time may cost a lot less than booking separately. "If the hotels don't have to show their prices and the airlines don't have to show their prices, both are willing to give lower prices," Tim, the former manager of expedia. com, told The New York Times.

If you're buying lots of tickets, search for them individually (单独地) and as a group. Airline ticket prices are full of changes, and sometimes individual seats are cheaper than a group. If you decide to buy individually, make sure there's no per-ticket processing cost.

"There's a misunderstanding that every online travel agency (旅行社) has the same price of the tickets," says George Hobica of air farewatchdog. com. "But because they sometimes cut special deals with the airlines, it's worth it to check them all. " A site such as kayak. com will list a lot of agencies in one search.

AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) members get up to 10% off at many hotels and have some car rentals up to 25% off. AAA (American Automobile Association) offers similar deals. One of them is Costco. It offers its members deals on cars and hotels. If you have a group member card, you will save money.

"If there's not much difference between an airline's price and an online travel agency's price, book with the airline. If you want to put it off or don't want it anymore, you could be better off if you deal with the airline directly rather than with a third-party agent, explains Akash Gupta of thepointsguy. com.

A. Do book through the airline.

B. Don't forget the group tickets.

C. Do review your group member card.

D. Never miss Air&Hotel group tickets.

E. Don't always book the group together.

F. Do check several online travel agencies.
