My friend had a chance to make a trip to Hong Kong on August 15, 2016. He had dreamed visiting it since his boyhood and it was the first time that he (be) there. The following was what he had seen.
(arrive) there, he was impressed by its beautiful scenery and tall buildings. It is said that Hong Kong has the (many) skyscrapers (摩天大楼) in the world. Wherever he went, he saw many smiling faces. People in Hong Kong were kind, easygoing and ready to help others. Much to his surprise, he saw that people there always kept order in public (place). Though crowds of people were waiting for the next train at the subway station, they were talking in such low voice as not (disturb) others.
Chinese and English are the (office) languages of Hong Kong. English (use) in governments, markets, service centers and other fields.
Staying there for a week was a good experience for him, he would never forget.

In his free time he started eBay as a kind of hobby, at first offering the service free by word of mouth.By1996 there was so much traffic on the website that he had to upgrade (升级) and he began charging a fee to members Joined by a friend, Peter Skoll, and in 1998 by his capable CEO, Meg Whitman, he has never looked back. Even in the crashes of the late 1990s, eBay has gone from strength to strength. It is now one of the ten most visited online shopping websites on the internet.
eBay sells connections, not goods, putting buyer and seller into contact with each other. All you have to do is take an e-photo, write a description fill out a sales form and you are in business; the world is your market place. Of course for each item (商品) sold eBay gets a percentage and that is a great deal of money. Every day there are more than sixteen million items listed on eBay and eighty percent of the items are sold……
If we are honest with ourselves, most of us have dreamed of (become) famous. Most musicians form a band because the same interest in writing and playing music. They may play anywhere (earn) some extra money as as fulfill their dreams. However, the Monkees started differently, began as a TV show with the musicians (play) jokes and music in the programme. Only after a year or so did they become (serious) and they produced their own records later became even more popular than the Beatles in the USA. The band once (break) up but reunited later. In memory of their time as a real band, they produced new record in 1996.
