一、最高级用于三个或三个以上的人或事物的比较，其基本句式是：主语+谓语（系动词/行为动词）+ the +最高级+名词+表示比较范围的介词短语或从句。表示比较范围的介词一般有of 和 in。
例如： ①She is the cleverest girl of the three. 她是三个女孩中最聪明的。② It's the cheapest car in China. 这是中国最便宜的车。
二、形容词最高级的构成
（一）规则变化：
①单音节词和少数双音节词:
1. 词尾+est cold-colder-coldest fast-faster-fastest warm-warmer-warmest
2. 以e结尾，词尾+st: nice-nicer-nicest large-larger-largest
3. 重读闭音节词尾只有一个辅音字母，双写辅音字母，加est: big-bigger-biggest thin-thinner-thinnest hot-hotter-hottest
4. 以“辅音字母+y”结尾，变y为 i 加est: easy-easier-easiest happy-happier-happiest
②多音节词和部分双音节词在词前加most：interesting-more interesting-most interesting delicious-more delicious-most delicious

三、注意
1. 表示“最……之一”的句式：one of the +最高级 +名词复数；
例如： ①Jim is one of the best studentsin his class. Jim 是班上最好的学生之一。②Suzhou is one of the most beautiful citiesin China. 苏州是中国最美丽的城市之一。
2. the +序数词+最高级表示“第几个最……”。
例如： The Yellow River is the second longestriver in China .黄河是中国第二长河
3. 当最高级前有物主代词或名词所有格时，不加the 。
例如① Monday is my busiest day. 星期一是我最忙的一天。②Jack is Jim's best friend. Jack是Jim最好的朋友。
