Shen Hao was born in 1964. He was the former first secretary of Party branch of Xiaogang Village, Fengyang County, Anhui Province. He died on November 6, 2009. From 2004 to 2009, he had done many good things for the villagers. For the development of Xiaogang Village he had made great contributions(贡献). So he was respected by all the villagers.

During the six years, he repaired the village roads, and built a building for a number of villagers. He rented a house in the village and thought about how to get the villagers to get rich all day. Even in the New Year, he still got together with his villagers. At last, under his leadership, Xiaogang Village was out of poverty. Now the villagers are leading a rich life.

We take most of our photos when we travel, but teens from Massachusetts, US, took photos of every corner of their own communities(社区). And they found things they didn’t know before. It’s part of a program to ask teenagers to care about the safety of their communities. They took photos and found problems.

“I found I was a photographer and I wanted to show people what I saw,” said Faith Blass, 15. Blass found some leaves with holes burned by cigarettes on a street, which expresses a possible smoking problem among teenagers.
“Even though I’ve lived in Somerville, from this program I got to see a new side of the town,” said Judcine Felix, 16. “I saw it more carefully and saw things I hadn’t seen before.”
Felix took pictures of broken benches and a broken light bulb (灯泡) in the areas where she used to live. She said she was surprised to see how bad the area is, compared with where she lives now.
More than 400 photos are on show in a city hall. One police officer said the photos were wonderful and caught people's attention.
“This project taught us to read between the lines. Everything is not simply what it seems,” Blass said. She said that the project is more than just adults getting children to do things, instead, it gave them a voice and taught them responsibility (责任).

It’s that time of the year again, when Apple fans go crazy about the release (发行) of the new iPhone. The new model, which will be released in the Chinese mainland later this year, is a little bit longer than the iPhone4S.

Although the size changed, the model is actually thinner and lighter than last one. It comes with a high-resolution “retina” screen that’s sharper than the 4S, according to Apple.
So far, demand for the iPhone5 has been higher than expected (预计的), with 2 million pre-orders (预定) made in the first 24 hours. But while the new phone excited many people, it also left a lot of people disappointed (失望). Mat Honan called the iPhone5 “completely amazing and very boring”. “Though we’ve reached the sixth iPhone, things have got so good that Apple does not change very much any more,” he said. “And so you get the iPhone5, which looks like a longer, thinner one of the iPhone4.”
When Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone back in 2006, it won praise from all over the world. Similar praise was given to Apple when it introduced the first iPad in 2010.
However, recent smart-phone designs have failed to satisfy people as much. Stephen Shankland said “it’s time to lower your expectations (期望).” This is because we have entered a time where it is harder for phone designers to come up with better ideas and changes.
