Aside from the care provided by the medical workers, relatives of the injured and the dead found themselves surrounded and touched by the support of volunteers.

“It is terrible to have my leg broken, but I was touched by those taxi drivers who gave free rides, and those citizens who lined up to donate blood at night,” said Li Zhenmin from Tianjin, with his right leg in a fixed device and scratches over his body.

Till Tuesday evening, 119 injured were still receiving medical treatment in hospitals of Wenzhou, local health authorities said Tuesday.

Eleven hospitals in Wenzhou have received 192 injured passengers and the death toll remained 39 on Tuesday evening.

   There are desert plants which survive the dry season in the form of inactive seeds. There are also desert insects which survive as inactive larvae (幼虫). In addition, difficult as it is to believe, there are desert fish which can survive through years of drought (干旱) in the form of inactive eggs. I am busting a gut while they just sit there, looking at me as if I were from outer space. How can people not get a really funny joke？

    Laughing is essential to keeping your stress levels under control. Without humor we would find ourselves with a lot of psychological problems, or on a lot of medications to keep us from going crazy. There is too much sadness in this present world. It drives people crazy. We all need to find a way to bypass the sadness and bring a little light into our lives. So, I believe our best medicine is to get together and tell some jokes and have some fun laughing together.

  The Winter Middle School Drama Club has recently given their annual Winter Shows. Over 80 students participated in the three shows presented this year. The performances included two 10-minute plays, Eighteen Ways to Annoy Your Teacher and Zippy. It was a fun and successful night for all, and the WMS Drama Club will compete later this year in the Massachusetts Middle School Drama Competition.

   It had taken the students two months to prepare. The clothes in the play were designed all by themselves. Some of the students made full use of their spare time, even breaks between classes to discuss the details about the play . Bruce Johnson, one of the play writers, had even revised the play Zippy six times.  

   “That experience taught me teamwork!” One of the participants, Stephen Tracy, considered the experience to be unforgettable, “Being in the show, I realized my ideas, and I felt great to work with other classmates.” Another student, Chris Haskell, who was glad to be a part of the show, said, “it was a little time-consuming to do all the work like designing, practicing, etc, but the show made me feel alive.”
