A captain of a boat lost his way in the middle of a storm. While trying to control the boat, he started feeling frustrated. The storm grew bigger. The waves became larger. It seems difficult for the captain to handle the tough situation, but he did not give up and tried harder every time the waves hit the boat.

At that moment that officer was able to grab the captain's shoulder and make him turn so that the captain could hear him. "Captain, Captain!" yelled again the officer. Failing in free himself from the officer's grab, the captain angrily shouted at him for distracting (使分神) him from his difficult task. "What do you need, officer? Don't you see I am trying to control the boat and find our way back?" shouted the captain.

The officer kept holding onto the captain and pointed to the opposite direction, towards the stern (船尾). "Captain!" he shouted. "The lighthouse is right over there, on the other side. We are going in the wrong direction!"

China's second female astronaut to enter space delivered a lecture to more than 60 million students across the country on Thursday, while aboard the Tiangong-1 space module (舱) 340 kilometers above the Earth's surface, in the first attempt at this kind of lecture by a Chinese astronaut.

Wang Yaping, one of the three crew members in the Shenzhou-X class spacecraft, delivered the lecture through a 40-minute live video broadcast, nine days after the successful spacecraft launch. Assisted by the other two astronauts Nie Haisheng and Zhang Xiaoguang, Wang showed students how movement occurs in a zero-gravity environment through a series of physics experiments to help students understand basic physics concepts. Observers say the creative lecture is not only good for science and patriotic W1 education of the younger generation but also shows national confidence in China's maturing (成熟)W2 space technologies.

Via the video feed system, the three astronauts interacted with some 300 curious students in Beijing on Thursday after the lecture, who raised questions about their daily life in the space module.

After orbiting Earth for six months, the three crew members of China's Shenzhou XIII mission returned to the mother planet on April 16, 2022, finishing the nation's (long) manned spaceflight.

Major General Zhai Zhigang, was the mission commander, Senior Colonel Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu breathed fresh air for the first time after the half-year space journey. Medical service workers the site told China Central Television that the astronauts are in good condition.

I often go climbing with my friend Mel Olsen, whom I'd met in a Face-book group. Two years ago, on December 30, when I was 16, she and I drove to Oregon to tackle 11, 240-foot Mount Hood. My parents were happy I'd finally found a hobby.

It's safer to start winter climbs at night when there's less risk of the sun melting the snowpack. That day, we started at 3 a. m, following the paths alongside the ski runs. The temperature was about 14 degrees. Along the way, we met two other climbers, and the four of us continued on together.

After about five hours, we reached Devil's Kitchen, a plateau at about 10, 000 feet, just before the final push to the top. By this point, the wind was violent. My exposed skin felt as though it were burning. The other climbers decided to turn back, but Mel and I went ahead. We had ice axes, helmets, and crampons （冰爪）. We were prepared for the climb.

The trail we followed grew narrower and steeper. Suddenly, I heard a crack, and a whole block of ice broke off the ice step, right under my foot.

In an instant, I fell backward. I could hear Mel calling my name as I rolled down the mountain as if I were a character in a video game. I stuck out my arms and legs, grabbing at anything. My clothes were torn into pieces, my helmet was broken, and my face was bloodied from cuts and scratches. Then I took a survey of my body to see where I was hurt, starting with my head, then my neck and arms. For the most part, I was fine, except that I was suffering from a sharp pain in my left leg.

As Mel made her way down, I shouted for help, and other climbers came to assist me. A couple of them were trained EMTs. They fixed my leg and called Portland Mountain Rescue. Mel stayed by my side while I tried not to cry from the pain.
