The passage introduces us Tolkien and his perfect book Letters from Father Christmas. From the book we know every Christmas, Tolkien's children would get an with a North Pole stamp. The children must have been very as they opened it, inside they would find a handwritten letter from Father Christmas. Of course,the letters were all written by Tolkien.
The letters told wonderful stories about Father Christmas's life and adventures at the North Pole. In one letter, Polar Bear once climbed the North Pole and through the roof of Father Christmas's house. In another letter, Father Christmas how he couldn't stop his helpers games with the toys instead of them up. Tolkien's letters also change as his children older. the book also tells us that we not only can enjoy the adventures of Father Christmas, Polar Bear and other characters at the North Pole can share the true spirit of giving at Christmas time.
