    Two years ago, when I was well again after a serious illness I received an invitation to a writer's meting in Orlando, Florida. My family thought a1 night be just what I need, so I went off.

    The man thought and thought and then decided his cat's name had better be "Cat" because a mouse was always afraid of a cat. Don't you think Mr. King is very silly or funny？

    Leo was a small fast boy. He often saw the other1play tennis in the park. And he wanted to learn to play tennis from them, but they wouldn't like to. They thought it would2too long to teach him.

    That's how Lauren Rojas, 12, from the US thought of her science project. She sent her Hello Kitty doll into the sky early this month. She wanted to find out how altitude(高度) changed air pressure(气压) and temperature, according to New York Daily News.

    Rojas put the doll and a small computer into a rocket model, and then sent it up with a weather balloon(气球). The computer recorded the height, air pressure and temperature. Rojas also put in a video camera to record the trip.

    "It took about two or three weeks to put it all together," said Rojas. "I think people will think it (the video) is really cool."

    The balloon got to 28.5km above the Earth. At that height, the doll could see the blue curves(曲线) of our planet. The air was very thin up there, and soon the balloon broke up (爆炸). The doll fell from the sky and at last it ended up in a tree. It was 76km from the place where it had started its journey.

I like watching TV very much，for I think it has many advantages(好处). First of all, watching TV can give us a good rest. After a day's hard work, we need a good rest. Watching TV can make us relaxed because of the pleasant music and TV plays.

Besides, watching TV is entertaining. There are many kinds of entertainments(娱乐), such as sports activities, concerts, plays and films all over the world at any time. It's not possible for us to go to every place to enjoy all the activities in a short time. We need over ten hours to fly from New York to Paris, a week by train from Beijing to Moscow and an hour to drive from Queens District to Manhattan District. But just one second, TV can bring us from a basketball game in New York to a fashion show in Paris by changing the channels.

Most importantly, watching TV is educational. Our children can learn different kinds of subjects through the educational programs and the special reports on TV.
