Healthy eating doesn't just mean what you eat, but how you eat. Here is some advice on healthy eating.
Eat with others. It can help you to see others' healthy eating habits . If you usually eat with your parents, you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.
Listen to your body. Ask yourself if you are really hungry. Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty—sometimes you are just thirsty, you need no food. Stop eating before you feel full.
Eat breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After you don't eat for the past ten hours, your body needs food to get you going. You will be smarter after eating breakfast.
Eat healthy snacks like fruits, yogurt or cheese. We all need snacks sometimes. In fact, it's a good idea to eat two healthy snacks between your three meals This doesn't mean that you can eat a bag of chips instead of a meal.
Don't eat dinner late. With our busy life, we always put off eating dinner until the last minute. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest most of the food before you rest for the next 8-10 hours.
There are many wetlands in China and some of them have become the world's important wetlands. The Chinese Yellow Sea Wetlands are among them. They are in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. They are home for many different kinds of birds and animals. The world's largest Milu Deer Nature Reserve(自然保护区) is in them. More than700 milu deer live freely there. There are not many red—crowned cranes in the world, but every winter you can see some in the Red—crowned Cranes Nature Reserve in the Yellow Sea Wetlands.
The temperature in the wetlands is usually neither too high nor too low. There is a lot of rain and sunshine, too. They are usually good places for wildlife. Offering food and home for some special kinds of animals and birds is not the only reason why we need to protect wetlands. Wetlands are important because they also prevent(阻止) flood(洪水). But some people want to change the wetlands to make more space for farms and buildings. This means there will be less and less space for wildlife.
Luckily, more and more people are beginning to realize(意识到) the importance of wetlands and wildlife. Every year, on February 2nd, many activities are held to tell people more about wetlands.
Ashima was a girl from a poor family. She was very beautiful and very good at singing and dancing. A lot of young men liked her. But Ashima was in love with Ahei, a brave (勇敢的) and smart young man.

Most American families like to have a vacation in summer. Summer is a good season for vacation. It is often hot in July and August. Children do not go to school in those two months. Some people like to stay at home, read books, or watch TV. Many families take their lunch to eat at a place with many trees or a nice lake. Some people have enough time and money to travel to other countries like France, Japan and Australia. They usually fly to these countries. Many families travel by car or train to see interesting places in their own countries. Their favorite cities are New York, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Not everyone likes to go to busy cities. Some families travel to mountains or valleys.
Do you know Jack-o'-lantern in the Halloween(万圣节)? It is usually made of pumpkins(南瓜).
There are 2 billion pounds of pumpkins planted in the US each year. Most of them are carved up instead of eaten. Someone often asks a few questions: Are the pumpkins sold for Jack-o'-lanterns different from pumpkins sold as food? And are Halloween pumpkins any good to eat?
Howden pumpkins are the most common decorative(装饰的) pumpkins . They are specifically for carving into Jack-o'-lanterns, with a symmetrical round shape, deep orange color.
Because they're for decoration first, carving pumpkins don't taste very good. "Uncut carving pumpkins are safe to eat; however, it's not the best type to use for cooking," Daria McKelvey tells Mental Floss.
Of course, there are also many pumpkin varieties for cooking and eating. These include Sugar Pie, Kabocha, and Cinderella pumpkins. You can shop for these pumpkins at local farms or in the store. They should be easy to tell apart from the carving pumpkins for Halloween: Unlike decorative pumpkins, cooking pumpkins are small and dense(紧实的). This is part of the reason they taste better. McKelvey says,"Cooking pumpkins are smaller, sweeter, have a thicker rind(皮) , and have less fibers(纤维), making them easier to cook with—but not so good for carving."
Whatever you do, make sure your pumpkin isn't carved up already when you decide to cook with it. There are many ways to recycle your Jack-o'-lanterns, but turning them into pie isn't one of them.
