My soccer coach retired in last week. I wanted to do anything special for him at his retirement party.

         A gathering of more than 700 oriental storks(东方白鹳) was recorded at Naolihe National Nature Reserve in Heilongjiang Province last month. Such a big gathering has been seen before in the reserve. The researchers had often recorded only about 150 in the past autumns. Now the population of the large white birds for black wing feathers and long legs are estimated at 3,000 in the world. It is certain a sign that the reserve's conservation is better now and before. The reserve is considered it as one of the most important stop over site for oriental storks. The storks winter in it and the researchers will keep aeye on the birds until you fly away.

    My friend Alice loved diving very much and she dreamed of become a professional diver one day. However, at an age of 14, she got a disease which caused her to become complete deaf. Many people thought a person was deaf would not be able to dive well and advised him to give up. But Alice had thought differently.     Three years ago I failed an important exam in my life and became a student at a ordinary school. Although I felt disappointed at the shabby campus and my poorly－equipped classroom, but I found the teachers impatient and considerate. Beside, I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in class.     This is the first time that I had been away from home, so I find it hard to live here. How I wish I could turn to Lucy, who once gave me much help! I had trouble with my study in Grade 9.     Christine was just a girl in one of my classes. I never knew much about her except for that she was strange. She didn't talk many.     A shop owner told me a story, that moved people in the neighborhood deep. One day, a hungry homeless dog came and the owner gave it up some food to eat.     Rope skipping is a sport suitable for people of all age. People skip rope for fun and exercise.

    Yesterday my Chinese teacher asked me recite a poem today in class. I became very anxiously at once because I had never try a poem. Then I realise that if I practised hard, I could succeed. As a volunteer, I get the pleasure of spending my free time do something I love. I share my passion for the natural world with anyone would like to listen. My classmates and I went to the Huanle Farm last weekend. Locating on the hillside, the farm is known for its beautiful scenery. Hard had we arrived at the farm when we spotted many oranges hang from the branches. Each of us were given a basket and a pair of scissor. Then a farmer taught us how to pick oranges. In the warm sunshine, we laughed a lot while picking but some even started singing. After we paid the oranges we harvested, we head back home. It was great fun to do some labor on the Huanle Farm, where not only made us happy but also got us closer to the nature.
